Rehearsals

All singers must attend at least one of the pre-Festival rehearsals on:

Music is available now and so choir trainers are asked to ensure that their singers are note perfect before the rehearsals. (Parishes where rehearsal of the music presents problems may find that another choir in the area would be willing to help out by holding 'open' practices.)

Robed and unrobed choirs are equally welcome. Cassocks should be worn only for the rehearsal and service on 8th October, not for the pre-Festival rehearsals.

Cost

The Festival Service Booklet costs £6.00. Cheques should be made payable to RSCM Oxford. Numbers will be limited to 350. In recent years, all Festival Service Booklets have been sold before the closing date. Early booking is therefore advisable.

A limited number of teas will be provided, price £2.50 each, for those who order in advance. Tea tickets will be sent out with the music booklets. Cheques should be made payable to Dorchester Abbey.

Timetable on 8th October

2.00 p.m. Assemble in the Abbey 4.45 p.m. Re-assemble, robed for the Service
2.15 p.m. Rehearsal 5.00 p.m. Festival Evensong

Car parking

Parking is permitted on the High Street, only on the George Hotel and Co-op side. There is further parking at Bridge End below the bridge, but not below the toilets, and probably also in the recreation ground at the north end of the village.
